Literature Text

Television lights grace
Your silhouette.
Bleeding havoc into
Your five minutes of peace.
But now,
It's not the simple things that count.
Rather,
Slammed doors.
Tears running down your cheeks.
You whisper that you are broken.
Whimper in pain.
Screaming on the inside.
Anything to make it go away.
Music brings the waves
Back to your shore.
Cradles your heart in it's hands.
Whispering,
That everything's going to be alright.
My dad is back in town...and it completely ruined my day.
Symbols represent people in this poem. Hint: my dad is the telly.
